Is it really possible?
Simple things we can do today to help reduce our environmental impact, save money, and live a happier life.Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renew.
Buy a laptop
It uses considerably less power than a desktop computer. Are you serious they cost more, but our lives are much more costlier in fact priceless. (P.S - I use a desktop but want to buy a laptop I am still thinking if these guys bring the piece down maybe I will buy one someday.)Install CFLs when your older incandescent bulbs burn out. These are expensive too.
Choose energy-efficient appliances
Look for the Energy Star label, awarded to fridges, washers, and other products that exceed government efficiency standards by using less water or electricity.Aren't these costly too.Buy Solar panels. Don't these cost more too.
Convert your car to hybrid. Don't these cost more too.
There are plenty of more gadgets which can save on fuel, electricity and environment too.But the technology cost so much more that people tend to stay away from these products and buy regular products which are power hungry.Let us put it this way if all the latest technology would be subsidised for the end-user everyone would switch to green technology.
Governments give subsidies but do they really get passed on to the consumers
